Giulietta is a wealthy housewife who lives with her husband and two maids in a rich house. Her parents and family distract her from a rather aseptic evironment. But she discovers that her husband, whom she loves innocently, is unfaithful. An extraordinary mental world then opens up before her, in which her mind blends dream with reality. In Giulietta we find no longer the conventional housewife, but a person gifted with an immense depth of feeling.
